- Summer intern for the Bronx Bureau and stringer for the city desk covering breaking news, crime, health and science, arts and culture, neighborhood news and events. I recently pitched and reported on an organization that brings theater troupes to perform for kids in hospitals and health facilities -http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/bronx/actors-perform-bronx-kids-article-1.1249755. - Editor in Chief (2009-2010) Editor in Chief; Arts & Entertainment Editor (2008-2009); Assistant Arts & Entertainment Editor (2007-2008); Reporter. Managed nine editors and a staff of 25; conducted writing/training workshops; responsible for advertising revenue and university allocated budget; created Twitter accounts and blogs for sections to increase readership and interaction; enforced legal and ethics standards; assigned articles. Pitched story ideas and wrote for news, entertainment, sports and commentary sections; co-hosted “Mace & Crown Live,” weekly radio show; copy edited articles, headlines and cutlines using AP Style; won “Writer of the Semester” Award in April 2008.
