Video Producer on msnbc (March 2014 – Present)

  • Source and edit all video for “Weekends With Alex Witt” and for other MSNBC shows including “MSNBC Live with Jose Diaz-Balart”, “MSNBC Live with Thomas Roberts”, and “PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton”.
  • I am also on the overnight breaking news team during the weekends, where I am responsible for quickly turning around ready-to-air video during live coverage. I personally edit an average of 15-20 tapes per weekend and manage editors to be sure MSNBC is airing quality, fresh and newsworthy footage.

Production Assistant for Early Today and First Look (April 2013 – March 2014)

  • Segment producer for the sports section three days a week
    • Sports coverage included NFL, NCAA football and basketball, NBA, MLB, more
    • Also written obituaries, weather hits, covered the NFL concussion settlement, the Super Bowl, the BCS Championship Game and the World Series
  • Edited and produced video for various segments
  • Created daily graphics and worked closely with segment producers to provide the appropriate video and graphics needed for stories
  • Pitched stories for all segments, including news, politics, sports and entertainment
  • Provided research for various stories
