Check out Rich Whiskey!

At Keagan’s in Town Center of Virginia Beach, four men can be seen performing on the venue’s small stage on a regular basis.

The lead singer, Sam Eure, has a voice reminiscent of Darius Rucker and an afro reminiscent of the lead singer from The Roots. The foursome is called Rich Whiskey and they will definitely give your ears a nice buzz.

Everyone in the band sings. John Wade plays the drums, Mike Orlando plays lead guitar and Scott Orlando plays the bass. They are based in Williamsburg, Va. When Sam was asked which venue in the Hampton Roads area was his favorite, it was hard to pick one.

“Hard to say, but any venue at the Ocean Front this summer has been awesome,” Sam said.

John, Mike and Scott insisted they got the name from a “band name creator” site. But Sam said, “Our name is a reflection of what we play; smooth, finely aged grooves…or it may be just be what we drink and what we want.”

They do all have the same goals in mind when it comes to how their band will pan out. “The band I all have reasonable expectations for our careers…play for a living, write music, make an impact…we are slowly but amazingly moving our way up the ladder and creating a name for ourselves,” Sam said.

He added, “We are all living on what we are making which is a good thing for us. It’s hard to get that far regardless of talent.”

Rich Whiskey will be playing on Saturday, Oct. 9 (tonight) at Hell’s Kitchen in Norfolk, Va. The start performing at 10 p.m. and they will be back in Virginia Beach, at Keagan’s, on Oct. 20.
